With 871 different competitors dialling in from 32 different countries, the Mizuno British Rowing Indoor Championships brought indoor rowing competition into homes, gyms and clubs around the world. With records tumbling across the event categories, a highlight was Paralympian Benjamin Pritchard provisionally breaking the World and British Record for the PR1 men鈥檚 2000m.

There was also a provisional World Record for international discus thrower, Jade Lally in the women鈥檚 1 minute race and our eldest female competitor, Val Coleman who broke the World, British and Championships Records in the women鈥檚 90-94 2km race. Showing that age is no barrier to indoor rowers, fellow nonagenarian, Alan Bell, 95, broke the Championship Record for the 90-95 lightweight men鈥檚 2km race.

Event Chair, Nick Hubble commented, 鈥淚t鈥檚 been yet another fabulous edition of the Indoor Champs – congratulations to everyone who took part in the racing.

鈥淲e鈥檙e really grateful for the support of our sponsors Mizuno who鈥檝e helped us bring you an exciting day of racing online. It鈥檚 been a real team effort and I鈥檇 like to thank the team of volunteers, British Rowing staff as well as the team at Streeem and Time Team who have given up their Saturday to bring this day of racing to you.鈥
