Masters rowers representing 128 clubs from across the UK are to compete at this year鈥檚 British Rowing Masters Championships taking place across two days at Holme Pierrepont Country Park.

The demand for racing from the masters rowing community is evidently higher than ever before with entries being suspended two weeks ahead of the official deadline for Saturday, and also early for the Sunday.

Competitors will travel from far-and-wide with large numbers of clubs from Scotland attending as well also from across from Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The Victor Ludorum will once again be sponsored by Faster Masters who, in addition to the 拢1,000 cash prize for the winning club, will also this year be awarding spot prizes to competitors throughout the weekend.

Across the 939 entries (an increase on last year鈥檚 record-breaking total), Tideway Scullers School will boast the biggest number with 43 crews entered, whilst last year鈥檚 Victor Ludorum Winners, London Rowing Club will travel north with 38 entries. Kingston Rowing Club has a total of 33 whilst locals Nottingham Rowing Club has 28 boats racing on home water. 2022 Victor Ludorum winners, Ardingly RC, have a similarly strong contingent with 27 boats racing across the two days.

84 year-old Chris Kenyon of Tees Rowing Club will be the oldest male competitor whilst 81 year-old Mary Bromilow of Upper Thames Rowing Club will look to defend her title having won the Women鈥檚 Masters J single sculls when it was held for the first time at last year鈥檚 Championships.

Racing will start at 09:00 each day with the last race at 18:46 on Saturday and 16:30 on Sunday. You鈥檒l be able to follow all of the action on the British Rowing social media channels.
