Tom Solesbury
Chief Executive of British Rowing
Tom Solesbury joined as our CEO in March 2026.
Tom came to us from UK Athletics, where he has served as Chief Operating Officer. In that role Tom played a central part in guiding the organisation through a period of significant financial and safeguarding challenges, helping to restore stability, strengthen governance and support the sport鈥檚 return to sustainable success from grassroots to the highest levels of the sport.
Tom learnt to row at the University of Warwick and Mortlake Anglian and Alpha Boat Club before going on to represent Great Britain at the highest level of the sport. He competed at four World Championships and two Olympic Games, racing in the coxless pairs at Beijing 2008 and the quadruple sculls at London 2012.
